The Project for Awesome began in 2007 as a collaboration between John and Hank Green and their online community, Nerdfighteria. Even as the P4A has grown, online video viewers, creators, and community members remain the heart of this event.
We’re grateful for any amount of time, attention, or funds that you donate to the Project for Awesome or the well-deserving charitable organizations doing some good in this world. If you want to get involved in our community, you can join our newsletter for updates or explore the options below!
You can share P4A videos, thoughts, or memes using #p4a2025 on Bluesky and Instagram! We’ve also created these profile picture frames for you to download, if you want to get in the spirit:
Every year for the Project for Awesome, we collect artwork from volunteers that is offered as a perk on our Tiltify campaign. Your artwork could end up being treasured by P4A donors all around the world and help us fundraise for charity!
If you want to contribute to our Physical Nerdfighter Art P4A perk, keep an eye out for when our submission form opens, usually in October. We need to receive all completed items by January.
We look for small, easily shipped items valued at about $25–30. This can include knitwear, plushies, drawings and paintings, etc. Nothing super big or fragile. The art does not need to be Nerdfighter- or P4A-themed, but it is highly encouraged!
The Digital Nerdfighter Art P4A perk was created as a way to share and enjoy more art made by our community! Livestream hosts may show off submissions during the stream, and everyone who purchases the Digital Download Bundle will receive a folder full of community art! By submitting your artwork, you are giving us permission to use your art in this way, and functionally agreeing to a CC-BY-4.0 license.
If you want to contribute to our Digital Nerdfighter Art perk during P4A 2025, you can submit your art anytime from Wednesday, February 12th at 12:00pm EST to Wednesday, February 19th at 11:59am EST.
Our team will go through and make sure all final Digital Nerdfighter Art files in the folder adhere to some basic rules before emailing them to P4A donors:
