In Uganda, 90% of kids start primary school, many schools are of poor quality. So, only 25% of kids reach secondary school and only 5% reach university. This keeps people stuck in low-income jobs and in poverty over generations.
YWAM Hopeland Nursery and Primary School gives 250 kids in Jinja, Uganda a solid primary school foundation, along with 2 meals a day and a safe learning environment. In a region where many kids used to be stuck in child labor, this school makes it more likely for kids to succeed later in life.
If Hopeland won Project for Awesome of 2025, they would buy a school bus to help transport kids from remote villages to school. They would also buy new equipment, build a new classroom, kitchen, and borehole, pay their teachers a fair wage, and offer scholarships to kids from poor families.

Thank you so much for watching, and don't forget to be awesome!
